Position Descriptions
The Executive Producer (EP) is ultimately responsible for all of the activities of the club. The EP works with the Associate Producer to coordinate with the Department of Performing Arts and other co-curricular groups, oversee the season, and provide support for all members of the club.
The Associate Producer (AP) works with the EP to take care of all of the administrative and logistical aspects of the club and its various productions. In addition, the AP has a variety of other responsibilities, including (but not limited to): artistic direction, club building, creative guidance, web development, and making sandwiches apparently. The M&B Constitution is weird.
The Technical Director (TD) is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Mask and Bauble's equipment and spaces, as well as guiding the season and helping out with its more complicated technical aspects. Coordinating with the Technical Administrator, the TD is in charge of making improvements to club inventory. The TD also serves as a resource for show technical directors.
The Business Manager (BM) is responsible for creating Mask and Bauble’s budget. Business managing includes collaborating with producers to keep their productions on budget and communicating with the board and larger Mask and Bauble community to finance other special events, projects and opportunities.
The Publicity Director (PD) is in charge of club image. Responsibilities include program writing, designing event flyers, website and social media upkeep, communicating with graphic designers and production publicity teams, and promoting events and opportunities to the rest of the M&B membership and Georgetown community as a whole. The Sales Director (SD) is in charge of getting people into the theater to see Mask & Bauble's plays. This involves acting as a smiling representative and ambassador for the club as house manager, as well as making sure that the show's patrons have an efficient and enjoyable experience with M&B. Moreover, the Sales Director is active in determining the size and management of our audiences, and tracking audience attendance over time, working closely with production staffs to ensure that as many people as possible who want to come see a show are able to do so.
The Community Engagement Director (CED) works to build connections between M&B and the greater Georgetown/D.C. community. This position is oriented around increasing inclusion, diversity, equity and access.
