Huelga!
This group of Latinx advocates will stop at nothing to get their community recognized as a minority in the eyes of the Houston school board. Window in the way? Just break it. Public school systems falling short? How about new schools? Songs that have never been sung or danced to before? That’s no problem for this movin’ and groovin’ gang of passionate leaders!
Grand Courses
Grand Courses tells the story of Calvin Vandegraf, a struggling college-aged kid, as he begins his newest job at the Dead Man’s Cove mini golf course. As a result of his lackluster attitude, this job brings new challenges for Calvin as he struggles to pay the bills and find a purpose in life. Through laughs and heartache, this play tackles the themes of growing up, perseverance, and family, all while taking place at the Dead Man’s Cove, the spookiest mini golf experience in Chippewa County, Minnesota!
Duty Free
A female international student gets a job as a duty free store employee when her college closes and she cannot go home since the borders are closed. She takes the audience through her lonely corner of the store and describes her daily tasks as an employee as well as her conflicting feelings about her position as an employee, and her place within the ever moving system of an airport. What does it mean to be static when the rest of the world seems to be in motion?
