Folklore, love, and rebellion abound in this fresh and fast-paced staging of Shakespeare’s classic A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Spurred by passion, four young lovers flee into an enchanted forest where the feuding Fairy King and Queen reign supreme. At the hand of meddlesome Puck, a thoroughly mischievous sprite, the lovers inexplicably find themselves obsessed with the wrong person, leading them over hill and dale in pursuit of their hallucinatory desires. Brimming with poetry, music, and magical hijinks, Mask and Bauble’s high-energy production will envelop the audience in a chaotic and joyful celebration of love and all its pitfalls.
